It has become apparent that some players understand where they rank in the wonderful world of DB yet do not fully understand the responsibilities of their role. Here is a list of what you may be required to perform day to day as a partiicipating leader of DB. Roles may require but are not limited to any and all details in this file.
NOTE: As a basic rule of leadersip there are certain things we require out of each person before we get into the details of each role.
1. Each Leader is expected to maintain a sense of decorum for their members and fellow leaders.
2. Each Leader is expected to handle each situation professionally to the point of their jurisdiction. Not all leaders have the same jurisdiction and if a situation poses itself against you that you do not feel confident enough to handle than it is requested that you pass it on to a leader higher in rank than your own so that they may handle it with the most accuracy.
3. A good leader knows his role as a leader and when his jurisdiction ends. He will not try to handle a situation he is not capable of handling. He will pass it on to someone of higher rank rather offend a member or give false information. It is as simple as telling a member something similiar to: "I cannot give you accurate information on that subject but if you would like to discuss that with my ranking officer their gamertag is _______ and I am sure they would be happy assist you."
4. A leader is professional and kind at all times. They do not stirn up confusion or tension between other members.
5. If it is possible, all situations need to be handled discreetly instead of publically. If a member "talks crap" on a public forum, message them first to repent the situation rather than heighten the embarrasment publically. If that member continues to embarrass themself than refer to DB policy. Copy and Pasting the rules is an easy way to clear up a situation and if that situation cannot be handled by you seek the assistance of a higher ranked member.
6. Only leaders can revoke the membership of a DB member. Any leader may professionally request a players membership to be pulled at anytime. A list of rules broken by the member are required as the clan is ran by a 3 strike method a member will not be kicked just because a leader has "beef" with a person of higher or lower rank. If you have beef than just grill it up and eat it.
7. A good leader quickly weighs the character of a member enough to know his own boundaries in conversation. If a member seems timid or insecure about something they present in their lifestyle do not make it a weakness. Encourage your members. The saying "Sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me" is one of the most false statements I have ever heard. WORDS DO HURT. Refer to rule number 1. There is a reason rule number one of our clan is "No disrespect."
8. All leaders are in charge of maintaining morale for the clan.
Each leader will do well to practice these basic methods of leading a team. Remember a dictator stands behind his people and tells them what to do, a leader stands in front of them and SHOWS them what to do. Never tell someone to do something you wouldn't do yourself.
